Help printing clear fonts within a branding medallion

Discussion started by taceto

Hey all,

Sorry about originally posting this in the wrong forum (3d printing)

I'm new to 3d printing (bout three weeks now). My printer is an Creality Ender 3 Pro. I'm working on creating medallions for my brother, who is a woodworker. He asked my if I could make round medallions that contain information about him as the manufacturer of his bowls.

I was able to create some basic round medallions using Tinkercad online and they aren't too bad. The biggest problem I'm encountering is getting the fonts to print clearly. The lettering looks great in the drawing but comes out looking smooched down and no crisp where some of the lettering is a bit hard to read.

The medallions are 1.75" in diameter and about 1/8" think. I've tried different fonts with similar results.
If anyone here has some ideas as to how I can improve my printing results I would be eager and pleased to hear your input and appreciate any help I can get
