Usually, the stuff that is free tends to be associated to low quality. However, it is known for a long time already that providing free samples of your production is a good way to drag the attention to yourself.
If you are a creator, then you should know that you will never get a second chance to make a good first impression. Those who know it, use the possibility to represent themselves through free samples.
Therefore, we decided to make a list of the best free models on CGTrader.com. Actually, we made a list not of the best free models, but of the best free models designers. So, we picked out models who could represent the style of the artist.
1. Showcase Cake Commercial Stand by TheArkaiko
This artist must be a nostalgic one. He has a couple of high-quality free 3D models on CGTrader.com and some of theme are models of retro objects. For example, an old casino coin machine, a jukebox, coffee shop items and showcase cake stand. This mouthwatering model is made with 3D Studio Max.
3. Fender Telecasterby Martin Iotchev
Need a model of an object which has a lot of small details? Like a guitar, a gun or a ship? Then Martin Iotchev is your guy. Really accurate job right here. It was modeled with Cinema 4D, but also it is available in .3ds and .obj formats.
4. Kohler Toccata K-3847 Kitchen Sink by Juan Gabriel Ponce
Interior stock online need to look as real as it is in reality. If someone would ever decide to bring their apartment into virtual reality, they should search for Juan Gabriel Ponce from Guatemala. Brilliant visualizations. It was modeled with 3D Max Studio 2010.
5. Bonsai Tree by vizpeople
Once you get your own artificial apartment, you should bring some Feng Shui into it. 3D designers, who call themselves vizpeople, create 3D models not only of furniture, but they are madly good at creating bonsais. That is right, those little trees you grow home to make your place more peaceful and cozier. Also, vizpeople are particularly talented at making 3D models of cars. This bonsai tree was modeled with 3D Studio Max.
6. Rhinoceros Topiary Shrub by fabelar
Salvador Dali was a genius of surrealism. Now we have our own Dali right here. Fabelar from Italy made a free 3D model of prickly rhinoceros. It looks strange but nice. A mind just got out of the box. Software: 3D Studio Max 9 + V-Ray.
7. Malo Fan Art Bust by grosse-bley
If somehow you have a strange need to keep a little sculpture of something similar to the ones which are on the Easter Island, you should definitely check grosse-bley. Amazing 3D-print ready sculpture and skills on dragging the flesh and skin on the deadly creepy creatures. Available in .stl format only.
8. Zombie Hunter head by Ola Sundberg
Oh, you did not like that sculpture? Then you can print another object a zombie hunter head. Interesting? Well, yes, it is. This Swedish guy has only two free, but damn good 3D print ready models. It is available in .stl format.
9. Stanford Solid Bunny by thymarks
Gold was always a deadly weapon. You do not believe at? Ask anybody from the West Coast in the 19th century. Thymarks with a bling-blinging texture out here. It is available in .stp format.
10. Monster Pet by KIMITZ
You do not like gold? Okey, what about bronze? This cute monster pet is an only model by KIMITZ right here, but it is absolutely marvelous! Available in .stl, .obj and .ztl formats.
11. BMW R90 1972 by gonzo_3d
What do you know, we have a really big moto fan out here. gonzo_3d has a huge and impressive collection of 3D models of motorcycles. Need something with 2 wheels in 3D? This is your guy. The model was made in 3DS Max, and is available in .3ds, .max, .c4d and .obj formats.
12. Animal Monster by manhattanart
A cow monster. A cow. That is a monster. What game could have such a strange character? Maybe Farmville just got an update? If this would happen, manhattanart already know how it will look like. Made with 3D Studio Max, also available in .obj format.
13. Jerrycan by boriscargo
All the casual items like a sofa, a strainer or even a jerrycan. Boriscargo makes them look exceptional. Created with Luxology Modo 501, also available in .dae and .obj formats.
14. Generic Male Skull by stevejjd
A member of our community, stevejjd is kind of specific designer. He has 3D models of the parts of human body a female head and a male skull. Should be a great material to use in biology lessons, we guess. Available only in .obj format.
15. Medieval Buildings by Michael Betke
Michael Betke from Germany has some very reasonably priced models which are ready to use in game. Remarkable landscapes made by this designer reminds some of the most recognizable computer games. Magnificent surroundings could be created with these models.Could be downloaded in .3ds, .dae, .fbx, .max and .obj formats.
16. Monster Pillow by lilika_studio
Nighty night, sleep tight... On a monster! Sorry, this is not us, who are so cruel to wish you such a nightmare. It is lilika_studio's sense of humour to suggest such a cute 3D model of a monster pillow. 3D Studio Max is also a monster creator software from now on.
17. Paper Bowl by Sam Abbott
Do you remember our creative buddy Sam Abbott from United Kingdom? The one, who 3D printed the first skateboard in the world? Well, guess what - he has more incredible ideas. One of them is this paper bowl - a bowl which looks like a creasy sheet of paper. You can 3D print it and use it as a detail of interior to stack small items. Ingenious, right? Two simple free 3D models by mcnewmedia is a fresh addition to our collection of free stuff. Such a casual thing as lamp bulb is a nice object to become a 3D model. Available in .c4d format.
19. Albert Einstein Sculpture by Alfred Chingel
Who was the Greatest Mind of all time? It is hard to tell for sure. However, one of the first names which you could think about is Albert Einstein. Alfred Chingel might be a huge fan of Einstein as he made this stunning 3D model of Alfred Einstein's bust. Alfred made this with Zbrush 3D Max.

This bizarre device is nothing but a little power factory. A person should turn the crank and create electricity. Make yourself nuclear free with this. Brought to you by Evan Erichsen. He also has a few other cool devices in his portfolio. It is made with 3D Studio Max and Print-ready!
22. Building Shed by Ondrej Homola
Ondrej Homola from Czech Republic is probably a gamer for life. Well, you could tell it from the nice collection of his game-ready 3D models. This is one of them - Building Shed. Simple object, good realisation. Made with 3D Studio Max.
23. Turbo Sonic Concept Car by Tomasz Rozkosz
We wrote about concept cars before and Tomasz Rozkosz aka squir from Poland made one free himself! Looks smooth and nice, like all other models of cars from this auto-freak. Keep creating, you are so good in that, Tomasz (and, of course, you know it)! This one was rendered with 3D Studio Max, but is also available in .fbx, .obj, .lws and .c4d formats.
24. Traveler Head by chee
You could find some really strange and interesting stuff at chee's profile. All his free models are sci-fi creatures. I wonder, what if any Hollywood studio would let him create the sequel of "Alien" or "Predator"... Naah, that would be too realistic. This one is available in .stl format.
25. The Huntress by othar
Oh, you like playing RPG? Good. Then othar has something nice for you. A 3D model of the huntress which you could 3D print easily. Also he has some great print-ready sculptures for free. Do not hesitate - check them out. The Huntress is available in .stl format.

Welcome to the iWorld! A lot of people worship Apple production. We do not know what Joseph Larson has been thinking and had he wanted to make fun of it, but he created a throne for an iPhone - iThrone. You can print it and make your iPhone the king. For free. Available in .stl format.
27. Pirate Mothership by SolCommand
Yes, Star Wars were fictional as is this mothership. On the other hand, it would come in handy if there was an intergalactic war anytime soon. Well, about 100 000 years later, this is how one of the space warships could look like. Nice work. .obj format available.

Miyamoto Musashi was a legendary Japanese swordsman in the 16th-17th century. yoyo426 must be a huge fan of Japanese culture as he made this modern version of Musashi. This nice model was made with Maya 2013.

30. The Leprecheun & The Goblin by Nazedo
Have you seen the movie about Grinch who stole the Christmas? I bet that Nazedo has seen it. He says that he created those creatures because he was inspired by the Irish folktales. .obj format available.
Free 3D models is a nice way to learn how to create a really great and professional 3D model. Young artists could download these works and study them. It is a great opportunity to learn from your favorite artists.
