I have a question about a particular model, its textures, dimensions, shape, shadings, or rendering.
Please send a message to the designer by clicking the “Product support” button on the model page. The authors are typically very responsive and will answer any questions you might have about the model.
Can the author modify the model for me?
There is no standard requirement for the authors to modify the models. However, if you contact the author, they may help you with your request. You can contact the author by clicking the “Product support” button on the model page or by visiting their profile and clicking “Send message”.
How can I pay for the models?
We accept Paypal or credit card payments.
What is the “make offer” button?
Sometimes you might like a model, but the price exceeds your budget. The innovative “make offer” feature allows you to offer your own price to the seller. If the seller agrees, you can purchase the model for a lower price.
What formats are available for the model?
You can see the model formats available on the model page. If you have any questions, click “Product support” button to send a message to the author and clarify it before buying.
Can I get in touch with the author of the model?
Yes - and we strongly encourage that! If you have any questions, just click “Product support” on the model page or “Send message” on the author page.
Is the model based on real-life, actual dimensions?
For further information about the models, it is best to contact the authors and get the information first-hand. Just click “Product support” button on the model page and send your message to the author.
Are these models real, physical items?
No. They are 3D models used in animation, design, art, engineering, architecture, medicine, 3D printing, gaming and other fields. We do not sell physical items.

How do I download purchased 3D models?
As soon as your purchase is completed, you can download models in My Purchases section. Click download button and access all files in one archive file (.zip or .rar). You have to download the files during a one-month period.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
We offer a money back guarantee only for products purchased from CGTrader's Authorized Sellers.
Do you offer support for purchased products?
Yes, if you have issues or see any inaccuracies for the purchased 3D model, the author and CGTrader support team will help you solve them. Please click “Product support” on the model page.
FOR SELLERS
What is your royalty system?
After the model is sold, we charge an activation fee to put the model back on sale again. You can pay the activation fee using CGTrader credits. The activation fee depends on the price of the model:

On average, authors on CGTrader receive over 90% of the sales proceeds.
How does activation process work?
After you sell a product and receive the payment, the product becomes inactive. This means that the product is not listed on CGTrader’s search results until you activate it by paying the activation fee with CGTrader credits. You can buy CGTrader credits here - and if you buy more credits, you get a discount.
Do you require exclusivity?
No. You can sell your models elsewhere as well.
How should I prepare scene for publishing?
Please archive your model or scene with all associated files and textures in one file (.zip or .rar is preferred). If you have multiple formats, archive them into separate files. Please make sure scene does not contain unnecessary objects, that the objects and materials have proper naming, there are no missing files, and that all scene paths are correct.
Where can I upload scene textures?
Package your textures, scene and other associated files in one archive file (.zip or .rar is preferred). This way the customer will get everything in one file.
Which image formats can I upload as Preview images?
Please upload only .jpg or .png image formats with resolution of up to 625x625 pixels.
Can I start selling my 3D models if I do not have a PayPal account?
You can start uploading and publishing 3D models. However, customers will not be able to buy any of your products until you provide the PayPal email address in the Account Settings section.
What does Authorized Seller status mean?
Authorized Seller status is given to sellers who have earned CGTrader trust and prove customers their reliability. CGTrader fully guarantees that Authorized Sellers comply with the support and refund policies and provides the customers confidence in buying from them.
What are the requirements to become an Authorized Seller?
We grant this status to sellers who meet following requirements: are registered member of CGTrader for at least 90 days have published at least 10 products have received at least 10 customer ratings have received 80% positive feedback over the past 12 months have received maximum 1 negative rating for 50 sold products
What does “print-ready” mean?
Print-ready is a way to indicate to the customers that a model is ready to be printed on a 3D printer.
What models are the most in demand?
It depends. We constantly follow supply and demand trends in the marketplace and share them on our blog. Follow here for updates.
What are the best pricing strategies?
Although there is no single answer, we recommend to look at similar models in the marketplace, experiment with pricing a little bit, and find out which pricing works best for you. We also provide advice and information on pricing trends on our blog.
