Flat is Boring: The Magic of Ideas Becoming Things

When we launched the Flat is Boring campaign, our focus was on broadcasting the big and exciting message - with 3D printing, bringing any idea to life is a matter of creativity rather than anything else. So, initially we had no other intention but to offer the delightful experience of having your creative project idea transformed into a 3D printable model, printed and delivered to your doorstep by our partner Shapeways. The winners (Top 10 ideas) were selected based on the social support that the idea attracted through 'likes' and 'shares' as well as on the feedback from our judge panel. Wait until you see the kick ass designs that were modeled and 3D printed bringing the 10 best submissions to life!

Someone said that we live in a world of smart phones and dumb people. And we thought it's an unfair and dramatic claim. So we decided to take a step back and rephrase the statement - we live in a world of smart technologies and even smarter people who know how to make the new technologies work for them!
