„We may never look at socks the same way again“ – this sentence was written in one of the websites and it is not hard to guess what it was about. This week was a start of social media campaign „Cock in the sock“, which was intended to raise awareness for testicular cancer.

There are about 25 000 posts with #cockinthesock hashtag on Instagram, thousands of Facebook posts and tweets with photos of men supporting the increasing of awareness for the cancer and wearing only a sock on themselves. If you have seen the photos for the campaign, I believe it shocked you a bit, didn‘t it? That was the goal and most likely it was reached.

CGTrader community decided that 3D printing industry can also contribute to this innitiative and raise awareness for testicular cancer by... No, not by making photos, but by creating 3D printable model related to this viral innitiative.

The idea was greeted with enthusiasm and now everyone who cares about awareness of cancer can show it by 3D printing Michelangelo‘s David statuette wearing a sock for free. Modern Renaissance sculpture on your table showing that you actually care. What can be better?
