The uploader mean for you to save the image as the texture for the obj file. The model is actually a bunch of 5-point (square+triangle) grass meshes (one mesh) bunched together in a circle (6,235 triangles). They look good or at least well enough from most angles but they're not what you would use if you wanted to get the camera REALLY zoomed in on them.
