I beleive the obj file cannot be animated. The fbx file comes with the bones. Its meant to be user friendly as possible! .Blend files work in some versions of unity, ususually newer versions. Fbx files also work in most versions of unity. Not tested in unreal engine. If you need to, you can open this in blender and un-subdivide it and it will still look pretty good.
