Using an after effects 2022 project, the process of creating the texture atlas and mapping it onto a variable length film strip was never easier!\n\nIncludes:\n- Film roll model\n- Film strip model\n- Assistant: Shows useful info like suggested fps, film length in cm, shutter speed etc\n- Spiral Generator: Makes it easy to create a spiral to wrap the film around an object\n- Dynamic Film Roll Generator: When supplied the film strip model as a child, this will create an array of strips that has the generated texture mapped to each strip\n- Film to cinemascope texture atlas: An after effects 2022 project for generating the texture atlas the roll generator uses through a supplied material, and then tiles on the whole roll procedurally.\n\nHow to use:\n1. First generate the texture atlas inside the After effects:\n\n 1.1 Drop in your source video into the \"Source Footage\" composition\n\n 1.2 In the \"Final Texture\" composition, select the controller, and in it's effects, change the sliders value to the amount of film strips you want on the texture atlas\n\n 1.3 Inside the \"Texture Atlas\" composition, Make sure there enough layers for the amount of film strips you decided to use.\n\n 1.4 Add \"Final Texture\" To render queue and render 1 frame.\n\n2. Import the Assets from \"All_Assets_Dynamic_Film_Roll.zip\" into your c4D crate assets database.\n\n3. Use them in Cinema 4D!\n\n 3.05 Make a new material in your render engine of choise, then link the texture atlas under Refraction/Transmission color.\n\n 3.1 Drag \"Dynamic Film Roll\" generator into your object tree.\n\n 3.2 Put the \"Film strip\" model under the Generator. Type in the parameters you set while exporting the texture into the generator. Link the material in the generator.
