ARGO scout camp site 3D model

Description

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 15 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 This model shows a typical german scout camp. In this case, the camp belongs to the Verband Christlicher Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder (Protestant, coeducational, 50,000 members).

The Scout movement in Germany consists of about 150 different associations and federations with about 260,000 Scouts and Guides. Scouting in Germany started in 1909 and follows the international Scout movement.

German scouts use traditional modular tents which are formed out of a pentagonal and three different rectangular tarpaulin types. The modular system allows almost unlimited creative tent designs and even whole linked-together tent cities. Main tents are the Kroete (toad, one pentagonal tarpaulin), the Lokomotive (locomotion, two pentagonal tarpaulins), the Kohte (4 pentagonal tarpaulins) and the Jurte (6 pentagonal tarpaulins and 6 rectangular tarpaulins).

The model was made for the 3D challenge. I used some of my (selfmade) 3D figures to illustrate the german scout fashion.
