Brochero (1814-1914) was an Argentine Catholic priest who settled in the Villa del Transito in 1870 and immediately went to work for the benefit of the people and the area. The aged and sick left the parish but at the request of the parishioners returned to the Villa where he died blind and leper. His remains rest in the church.
