CGTRADER DEAD

I also had terrible last 2 months but it's summer and holiday season so be patient and do not drop the model's price, by making them cheap you're saying your products don't have quality.
Just keep up the work and wait, since 2017 I had good number of sales considering I have small amount of models uploaded but in last 2 months it really got dead and it's the same on turbosquid so don't loose your focus!

The slowdown is normal during the summer, however I find that this year the summer sales are rather correct, close to a normal activity

Well, it's not dead yet, otherwise I would be out of the job - and I'm definitely not ready for that!

The trend of "slow Summer" mentioned by your fellow 3D artists is a common thing in this industry - however, I actually cannot say the sales have stopped or slowed down, as we've seen very good Summer months for a big number of sellers.

The other (very reasonable!) trend is - the more quality models you have, the better. After reading the similar advice for a few years, I can suggest trying to increase your model count - definitely wouldn't hurt!

Here's hoping your sales increase as well!

June and July of this year was two best month ever for me here, however August is rather worrying - quarter of the month already passed and i have only two small sales. On the other hand, August is a month of vacations, so i wouldn't send invitations to cgtrader's funeral yet :]

well i can increase the models number with quality but i will take time to upload them and categories them too since 2011 i was in furniture manufacture we do like 7/8 model per day (beds-chairs-tables.... and so on but when i look at them they need a little more detailed tweaking also need to extract extensions for them and that what i'm working at now by the way i wonder if i do something like volume 1,2,3 for them as package will do better in sales or one model by one what do you suggest ?

As usual I’m also getting a bit of a slowdown in summer times but sales is still going well.
This website has no problems getting traffic and attention from CG industry, it is right on top with Ts.

CGtrader is also doing a great job at marketing so the problem is probably not on Cgtrader side.

Taking a look at your offers my conclusion would be there is a small collection of items that are in a heavily crowded category, there are massive amounts of these items around and mostly for free.
It’s going to be hard to catch some money wit this kind of bate.

My advice would be to try and make stuff that can set you apart from the crowd and other things then the stuff that is already there in the free space.

Last month was my best month on CGTrader in a year, oddly enough. But Turbosquid has been terribly slow for me the last 3 months.
