connecting line allowing the casualty to be pulled to the rescuer in a boat. They are carried by ships and are also located beside bodies of water that have the depth or potential to drown someone. They are often subjected to vandalism which, since the unavailability of lifebuoys could lead to death, may be punished by fines (up to £5,000 in the United Kingdom) or imprisonment. The UK Royal Life Saving Society considers lifebuoys unsuitable for use in swimming pools because throwing one into a busy pool could injure the casualty or other pool users. In these locations, lifebuoys have been superseded by devices such as the torpedo buoy.[5] In the United States, Coast Guard approved lifebuoys are considered Type IV personal flotation devices. At least one Type IV PFD is required on all vessels 26 feet or more in length.[6] Leonardo da Vinci sketched a concept for a safety wheel, as well as for buoyant shoes and balancing sticks for walking on water.[7]_","imageAlt":"3D print model PM Lifebuoy horizontally. It is mainly used for lifting heavy objects and transporting them to other places. The device uses one or more simple machines to create mechanical advantage and thus move loads beyond the normal capability of a human. Cranes are commonly employed in transportation for the loading and unloading of freight, in construction for the movement of materials, and in manufacturing for the assembling of heavy equipment. The first known crane machine was the shaduf, a water-lifting device that was invented in ancient Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) and then appeared in ancient Egyptian technology. Construction cranes later appeared in ancient Greece, where they were powered by men or animals (such as donkeys), and used for the construction of buildings. Larger cranes were later developed in the Roman Empire, employing the use of human treadwheels, permitting the lifting of heavier weights. In the High Middle Ages, harbour cranes were introduced to load and unload ships and assist with their construction—some were built into stone towers for extra strength and stability. The earliest cranes were constructed from wood, but cast iron, iron and steel took over with the coming of the Industrial Revolution. For many centuries, power was supplied by the physical exertion of men or animals, although hoists in watermills and windmills could be driven by the harnessed natural power. The first mechanical power was provided by steam engines, the earliest steam crane being introduced in the 18th or 19th century, with many remaining in use well into the late 20th century.[1] Modern cranes usually use internal combustion engines or electric motors and hydraulic systems to provide a much greater lifting capability than was previously possible, although manual cranes are still utilized where the provision of power would be uneconomic. There are many different types of cranes, each tailored to a specific use. Sizes range from the smallest jib cranes, used inside workshops, to the tallest tower cranes, used for constructing high buildings. Mini-cranes are also used for constructing high buildings, to facilitate constructions by reaching tight spaces. Large floating cranes are generally used to build oil rigs and salvage sunken ships. Some lifting machines do not strictly fit the above definition of a crane, but are generally known as cranes, such as stacker cranes and loader cranes._","imageAlt":"3D printable model LNG Ships Deck Crane 2 PM","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/other/lng-ships-deck-crane-2-pm","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":false,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/nS6rH34wgTyM8zgWUuzPQcni/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/crane2.15.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/nS6rH34wgTyM8zgWUuzPQcni/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/crane2.15.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/other/lng-ships-deck-crane-2-pm","isCgtVerified":false,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false},{"id":12,"name":".obj","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"miniatures","subcategorySlug":"other","categoryTitle":"Miniatures","subcategoryTitle":"Other","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/4590200/87253bcfd9/lng-ships-deck-crane-2-pm-3d-model-87253bcfd9.webp","saleOffDiscount":0,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":false}},{"id":"2606867","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":2606867,"title":"Mini set of shipyard bollards","price":6.0,"description":"Mini set of shipyard bollards for model making and 3d printing.\n\n For size refer to the last pictures , to be scaled as you wish.\n\nProvided with stl, obj, 3mf, step and iges files.\n\nPerfect for FDM, SLA and DLP printing.\n\nMade in solidworks 2020.\n\nTo be used by prop masters and model makers. A pallet is the structural foundation of a unit load, which allows handling and storage efficiencies. Goods in shipping containers are often placed on a pallet secured with strapping, stretch wrap or shrink wrap and shipped. Since its invention in the twentieth century, its use has dramatically supplanted older forms of crating like the wooden box and the wooden barrel, as it works well with modern packaging like corrugated boxes and intermodal containers commonly used for bulk shipping. In addition, pallet collars can be used to support and protect items shipped and stored on pallets. While most pallets are wooden, pallets can also be made of plastic, metal, paper, and recycled materials.A barrel is one of several units of volume applied in various contexts; there are dry barrels, fluid barrels (such as the U.K. beer barrel and U.S. beer barrel), oil barrels, and so forth. For historical reasons the volumes of some barrel units are roughly double the volumes of others; volumes in common use range approximately from 100 to 200 litres (22 to 44 imp gal; 26 to 53 US gal). In many connections the term drum is used almost interchangeably with barrel. Since medieval times the term barrel as a unit of measure has had various meanings throughout Europe, ranging from about 100 litres to about 1,000 litres. The name was derived in medieval times from the French baril, of unknown origin, but still in use, both in French and as derivations in many other languages such as Italian, Polish, and Spanish. In most countries such usage is obsolescent, increasingly superseded by SI units. As a result, the meaning of corresponding words and related concepts (vat, cask, keg etc.) in other languages often refers to a physical container rather than a known measure. In the international oil market context, however, prices in United States dollars per barrel are commonly used, and the term is variously translated, often to derivations of the Latin / Teutonic root fat (for example vat or Fass).[1] In other commercial connections, barrel sizes such as beer keg volumes also are standardised in many countries._","imageAlt":"3D printable model PM Oil Barrel and Wooden Pallet Set","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/games-toys/other/pm-oil-barrel-and-wooden-pallet-set","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":false,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/9ZeQutpTZ8qxvTp31DHt3Pqa/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/op0.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/9ZeQutpTZ8qxvTp31DHt3Pqa/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/op0.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/games-toys/other/pm-oil-barrel-and-wooden-pallet-set","isCgtVerified":false,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":12,"name":".obj","is_native":false},{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"games-toys","subcategorySlug":"other","categoryTitle":"Games \u0026 Toys","subcategoryTitle":"Other","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/4525312/b4f0706502/pm-oil-barrel-and-wooden-pallet-set-3d-model-b4f0706502.webp","saleOffDiscount":0,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":false}},{"id":"6065635","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":6065635,"title":"Venetian Arsenal","price":9.99,"description":"**Introducing a highly detailed 3D model of the famous entrance to the Venetian Arsenal. Since the Brandenburg-class will leave service within the 2030s, Germany was forced to build a replacement which can not only replace the capabilities of the old class, but also match the designs of other nations around the world. To achieve this, Germany gave the Damen Shipyards Group of the Netherlands the contract to design and build the class. However, due to a recent change in politics, all ships are planned to be built in Germany in the shipyard Blohm + Voss in Hamburg. Roughly six Billion Euros are calculated to build four units, with the addition of two further units being possible. The first ship is planned to enter service in 2028, as of May 2023. \n\nSince the capabilties of other nations had to be matched with this class, especially in the e-warfare sector and ASW, the class of ships is planned to be the biggest and most expensive class Germany has ever built. As weaponry, a 16-cell Mk 41 VLS, a 127mm cannon and 8 Kongsberg NSM as well as 2 RIM-116 RAM are ready at hand, combined with a powerful radar from Thales and ESM and ELINT suite. However, the high amount of weaponry comes at the price of speed and size. Despite the modern CODLAD system the class wont be able to reach 30 knots speed, due to the high tonnage. Clocking it at more than 10.000 tonnes these frigates are as large as the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruisers of the US Navy, setting them on the first place as largest frigates in the world. Despite the size however, the class is planned to require only half the amount of crew than its American counterpart, due to a high amount of automation. \n\nThe construction of the F126-class is a large step in the German naval weaponry, increasing the tonnage drastically. As three Brandeburg-class roughly match the size of one F126-class, questions arose if the size is justified, as well if the classification as frigate shall be retained. Especially when considering that the also planned F127-class is bound to grow even larger, trying to match the Arleigh-Burke-class of the US Navy, a clear trend becomes visible. The increase in military funding during the Russo-Ukrainian war also sparked the discussion about the German position within NATO and its stance towards its military. Due to that reason, it is yet unknown if four or six of these units will be built. No names have been assigned yet, though it is likely that they will be named after the German states Bremen, Niedersachsen, Saarland and Thüringen as they are the only states without ships bearing their name.\n\nNote: This model is recommended to be used in the 1/2000 scale. The models itself isnt scaled, the scale table is down below.\n\n1/4000: 4,15cm or 1.63in\n\n1/3000: 5,53cm or 2.17in\n\n1/2000: 8,3cm or 3.26in\n\n1/1000: 16,6cm or 6.53in\n\nFor self calculation: The F126-class will be roughly 166m or 544ft long.\n\nThe model is intended to be used with little supports as possible, yet some are recommended below the barrel of the main gun. I recommend using a resin printer for this. Up and Downsclaling might be possible, yet I dont know to what extend.\n\nIf you face issues with the model, have questions or want to propose some changes, please reach out to me, I am always happy to help. I am also open for suggetions for new ships which I havent done yet, as I am looking to expand my catalogue of ships.","imageAlt":"F126 class - Model for small scale printing","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/vehicles/f126-class-model-for-small-scale-printing","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":true,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/B2oieG1snW2cegYwHmEs7z46/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/preview1.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/B2oieG1snW2cegYwHmEs7z46/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/preview1.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/vehicles/f126-class-model-for-small-scale-printing","isCgtVerified":false,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":5,"name":".fbx","is_native":false},{"id":12,"name":".obj","is_native":false},{"id":25,"name":".dae","is_native":false},{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"miniatures","subcategorySlug":"vehicles","categoryTitle":"Miniatures","subcategoryTitle":"Cars \u0026 Vehicles","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/4512549/014fbfcf06/f126-class-model-for-small-scale-printing-3d-model-014fbfcf06.webp","saleOffDiscount":50,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":false}},{"id":"5561200","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":5561200,"title":"USS Constitution 3D Model","price":25.0,"description":"USS Constitution 3D Model\nUSS Constitution, also known as Old Ironsides, is a three-masted wooden-hulled heavy frigate of the United States Navy. It has the closed bridge that almost every one of the class was converted to, but it has a lattice mast rather than a pole mast, it carries a RIB rather than a wooden dinghy, life rafts rather than Carley floats. However it has the engine room ventilator grills of the earlier ships in the class. I have painted the decks green - I painted a lot of decks green in my time, but you may want to overlay the deck with thin wood to replicate teak decks.\n\nI used the original shipyard plans for the hull lines and layout, and the excellent photos and descriptions contained in the book \"Last of the Wooden Walls\" ed by Rob Hoole for the Ton Class Association, whose website is another excellent source of information on the class.\n\nThe model is intended to celebrate the class of ship rather than to be an accurate representation of one ship. There were in any case so many variations.\n\nThe model is scaled to 1/48th scale making a model about 980mm long and 200mm wide. This is a nice size of model and it sails beautifully under radio control, its twin rudders giving extremely responsive steering. With one ESC speed control controlling the twin motors and propellors she turns pretty much on her own length. Ballasted with a large 12v 7ah battery she will run for several hours and cope with windy and rough conditions on the local boating pond and is great fun to sail.\n\nThe model however could be scaled to different sizes from 1/72nd 00 model railway scale - set the print at 66%, 1/64th scale (75%), or 1/32nd scale 150%, or anything in between that takes your fancy. Instructions though and sizes of motors and prop shafts are only given for the 1/48th scale model. The hull access however is quite good for any of these scales.\n\nI have included an instruction booklet with illustrations that is 25 pages long that should give step by step instructions to building, but if you find any issues or problems then don't hesitate to contact me through the cgtrader messaging service and I will deal with them as soon as possible.\n\nThe printer I used was a Creality K1 Max with a maximum build plate of 300mm cubed. However I think there is no part of the 1/48th model which is larger than 200mm cubed - however if you have issues I am quite happy to provide cut up files to fit a smaller printer - just let me know.\n\nI have always loved the Ton Class and this has been a fiun project to design and build and is an enjoyable model to sail. I hope you enjoy building her!\nIf you wish to look at the building instructions before purchase here is a link to a free download of them so that you can see what is involved.... https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-print-models/hobby-diy/robotics/1-48-ton-class-minesweeper-building-instructions\n","imageAlt":"HMS Ton Class Minesweeper radio controlled model","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/hobby-diy/robotics/ton-class-minesweeper-radio-controlled-model","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":true,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/fhb87ermmfc2e50bruftxcgc0pkz/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/20250527_172240.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/fhb87ermmfc2e50bruftxcgc0pkz/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/20250527_172240.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/hobby-diy/robotics/ton-class-minesweeper-radio-controlled-model","isCgtVerified":true,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":null,"name":null,"is_native":false},{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false},{"id":100,"name":".pdf","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"hobby-diy","subcategorySlug":"robotics","categoryTitle":"Hobby \u0026 DIY","subcategoryTitle":"RC \u0026 Robotics","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/6170595/ecdf23b0c5/hms-ton-class-minesweeper-radio-controlled-model-3d-model-ecdf23b0c5.webp","saleOffDiscount":40,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":false}},{"id":"4050043","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":4050043,"title":"Superyacht Dilbar print ready 3D model","price":35.0,"description":"A detailed model of the Superyacht Dilbar.\n\nThe Dilbar was built in 2015-2016 at the Fr. It was built at the Papenburg Meyer shipyard and was launched in 2019 as the fourth ship in the Quantum class.\n\nThe fourth ship of the Quantum class was commissioned on June 12, 2015 at the Meyer shipyard with the construction number S.700, after an agreement had previously been made subject to the reservation of financing. The construction of the first section, the so-called Brennstart, started on August 15, 2017[2] and the first block was laid on November 8, 2017 at the Neptun shipyard in Rostock. This midship section was transferred to Meyer Werft in Papenburg in March 2018. On May 25, 2018, a 140 meter long section was undocked. This resulted in a collision with the harbor wall. After undocking the AIDAnova on August 21, 2018, she was docked again. The ship left the building dock hall on February 25, 2019.\n\nOn the 20th/21st March 2019, the ship was transferred to the North Sea by means of the Ems barrier. The ship left the shipyard on the morning of March 20 and passed the Ems barrier at around 00:00 on March 21. For this purpose, the Ems was dammed up to a maximum of 2.70 meters for 36 hours by means of the barrage.\n\nAfter successful acceptance runs from March 23, 2019, the handover to the shipping company took place on April 11, 2019 at the Columbuskaje in Bremerhaven. She was the lead ship of the Dingyuan class, which included one other vessel, Zhenyuan, both of which were built in Germany in the early 1880s. Delivery of the two ironclads was delayed by the Sino-French War of 1884–1885. The ships were armed with a main battery of four 12 in (305 mm) guns in a pair of gun turrets, making them the most powerful warships in East Asian waters at the time.\n\nDingyuan served as the flagship of Admiral Ding Ruchang during her active career. In the 1880s and early 1890s, the Beiyang Fleet conducted a routine of training exercises and cruises abroad, with emphasis placed on visits to Japan to intimidate the country. The latter resulted in the Nagasaki Incident in 1886 and contributed to a rise in hostility between the two countries that culminated in the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894. She led the Chinese fleet during the Battle of the Yalu River on 17 September, where the Japanese Combined Fleet sank much of the Beiyang Fleet, though both Dingyuan and Zhenyuan survived despite numerous hits, thanks to their heavy armor. The survivors then retreated to Port Arthur for repairs, but after that city was threatened by the Japanese Army, fled to Weihaiwei.\n\nAs the Japanese continued to advance, they laid siege to Weihaiwei in late January 1895. On 5 February, a Japanese torpedo boat slipped into the port and hit Dingyuan with a torpedo, inflicting serious damage. The Chinese crew were forced to beach the vessel to avoid sinking, and for the next week, Dingyuan was used as a stationary artillery battery. Japanese ground forces seized the city's coastal fortifications on 9 February, allowing their artillery to shell the ships in the harbor, which prompted Ding to surrender. Dingyuan was scuttled in the harbor on 10 February. A full-scale replica of the ship was built in Weihai in 2003 as a museum ship and in 2019, the Chinese government announced that an underwater survey had located the original vessel's wreck.\n\n\nFollowing the direct intervention of the imperialist European powers in the mid-19th century, including the First and Second Opium Wars, where their superior steam-powered fleets overwhelmed the small Imperial Chinese Navy that still relied on traditional junks, the Chinese began a naval construction program in the 1880s to meet these threats more effectively. They enlisted British and German assistance, and two Dingyuan-class ironclads were ordered from Germany.\n\nDingyuan was 308 ft (94 m) long overall, with a beam of 59 ft (18 m) and a draft of 20 ft (6.1 m). She displaced 7,220 long tons (7,340 t) normally and up to 7,670 long tons (7,790 t) at full load. She was powered by a pair of compound steam engines that each drove a screw propeller. Steam was provided by eight coal-burning fire-tube boilers that were ducted into a pair of funnels amidships. She was capable of a top speed of 15.7 knots (29.1 km/h; 18.1 mph) from 7,500 indicated horsepower (5,600 kW). Her crew consisted of 350 officers and enlisted men.\n\nThe ship carried a main battery of four 12 in (305 mm) 20-caliber breech-loading guns in two twin-gun turrets that were placed en echelon forward. These were supported by a secondary battery of two 5.9 in (150 mm) guns in a pair of single turrets, one at the bow and the other at the stern. For defense against torpedo boats, she carried a pair of 47 mm (1.9 in) Hotchkiss revolver cannon and eight 37 mm (1.5 in) Maxim-Nordenfelt quick-firing guns in casemates. Dingyuan was also equipped with three 14 in (356 mm) or 15 in (381 mm) torpedo tubes.\n\nShe was protected by compound armor that was 14 in for the armor belt, which covered the central part of the ship were the ammunition magazines and propulsion machinery spaces were located. An armor deck that was 3 in (76 mm) thick provided horizontal protection. Her conning tower was covered with 8 in (203 mm) of armor plate on the sides. The barbettes for the gun turrets were 12–14 in thick. A strake of armor that was 8 in thick protected the casemate guns.\n\n\nDingyuan was ordered in 1880 and was laid down at the AG Vulcan shipyard in Stettin, Germany in March 1881; her name means \"eternal peace\" in Chinese. Work proceeded quickly and she was launched on 28 December 1881 to clear the slipway so work could begin on her sister ship Zhenyuan. Fitting-out work continued into May 1883, when the vessel was completed, but delivery was to be delayed until Zhenyuan was finished in April 1884. The start of the outbreak of the Sino-French War in August prevented both Dingyuan-class ships from being delivered until 1885, since Germany would not transfer the vessels to a country at war.[4]\n\nBoth vessels were manned by German crews, sailing on 3 July 1885 under the German flag in company with the also German-built protected cruiser Jiyuan. The three ships arrived in Tianjin in November, where they were transferred to Chinese control. Li Hongzhang, the Viceroy of Zhili and director of China's naval construction program, inspected the vessels following their arrival. The two ironclads were then commissioned into the Beiyang Fleet, which was based in Port Arthur.[5] The ships steamed south to Shanghai for the winter of 1885–1886.[6]\n\n","imageAlt":"2 in 1 Printable RC Ironclad Dingyuan and Gunboat Tiong 1","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/vehicles/printable-rc-ironclad-dingyuan-and-gunboat-tiong-sing","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":true,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/exEoJV5W12cNu1nxnPhm9mUs/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/dyr.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/exEoJV5W12cNu1nxnPhm9mUs/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/dyr.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/vehicles/printable-rc-ironclad-dingyuan-and-gunboat-tiong-sing","isCgtVerified":false,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false},{"id":12,"name":".obj","is_native":false},{"id":129,"name":".3mf","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"miniatures","subcategorySlug":"vehicles","categoryTitle":"Miniatures","subcategoryTitle":"Cars \u0026 Vehicles","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/3229945/2cec2ceb2e/2-in-1-printable-rc-ironclad-dingyuan-and-gunboat-tiong-sing-3d-model-2cec2ceb2e.webp","saleOffDiscount":30,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":true}},{"id":"1840345","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":1840345,"title":"Brazilian Ironclad Brasil","price":6.0,"description":"The package contains 3D files for model printing - **Brazilian Ironclad Brasil**. _Note: Stylized model for easy printing._\n\nThe template contains the following file formats for printing: .fbx, .stl, .obj, and .ply.\n\nThe size of the model is 176mm(17.6cm) x 30mm (3cm) x 26mm (2.6cm). She was named after the historic province of Shinano. However, as early as November 1944 - before her first deployment - the ship was torpedoed and sunk by a U.S. submarine while on a transfer trip off the Japanese coast. The Shinano was by far the largest completed aircraft carrier of World War II.\n\nTo escape the United States' air attacks, which were becoming increasingly dangerous in Yokosuka, the Shinano was to be moved from Tokyo Bay to an outfitting quay in Kure for final outfitting with a skeleton crew of sailors and shipyard workers not yet sufficiently familiar with the ship. Escorted by three destroyers, the huge carrier was sighted and attacked by the American submarine Archerfish about 300 km southeast of Cape Muroto on Japan's southern coast on November 29, 1944. The inexperienced crew had no way to prevent the ship's sinking after four torpedo hits due to the still missing leakage warning devices. Although the commander attempted to compensate for the carrier's list by counter-flooding, the ship remained stopped after its boilers failed and eventually capsized seven hours after the torpedo hits. Of the 2215 crew members aboard, 1435 met their deaths in the process; among them were Commander Toshio Abe and several pilots from a kamikaze squadron who had been transported on the Shinano in their Ōka aircraft.\n\nThe Shinano remains to this day the largest warship sunk by a submarine.\n\nWas designed by HatsuneR","imageAlt":"Yamamoto class carrier sunk in 1944 for 3d print","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/vehicles/yamamoto-class-carrier-sunk-in-1944-for-3d-print","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":true,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/9tbW84ghPS7kvDia3x6U5EuG/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/NCV_Shinano9.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/9tbW84ghPS7kvDia3x6U5EuG/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/NCV_Shinano9.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/vehicles/yamamoto-class-carrier-sunk-in-1944-for-3d-print","isCgtVerified":false,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":12,"name":".obj","is_native":false},{"id":129,"name":".3mf","is_native":false},{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false},{"id":117,"name":".gltf","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"miniatures","subcategorySlug":"vehicles","categoryTitle":"Miniatures","subcategoryTitle":"Cars \u0026 Vehicles","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/3238578/86368c0b05/yamamoto-class-carrier-sunk-in-1944-for-3d-print-3d-model-86368c0b05.webp","saleOffDiscount":50,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":false}},{"id":"1894105","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":1894105,"title":"Brazilian Monitor Javari","price":6.0,"description":"* The package contains 3D files for model printing - Brazilian Monitor Javari. \nNOTE: Stylized model for easy printing.\n\n* The template contains the following file formats for printing: .blend, .3ds, .dae, .fbx, .stl, .obj, and .ply.\n\n* The Model is scaled according to the metric system.\n\n* The size of the model is 172mm (17.2cm) x 42mm (4.2cm) x 28mm (2.8cm). She participated in the 1864–70 War of the Triple Alliance between Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay against Paraguay. The ship was built at the Laird \u0026 Brothers shipyard in Birkenhead, England, and was launched at sea in 1866. The Lima Barros was the first and only ship to be named, a tribute to Francisco José de Lima Barros, who was killed on board of the Corvette Jequitinhonha, in the Naval Battle of Riachuelo, on June 11, 1865.\n\nHe was sent to the front still in 1866 participating in the battles of Curupaiti and later Humaitá. At dawn on March 2, 1868, Cabral and Lima Barros were approached in the vicinity of Humaitá by 24 enemy canoes disguised as camalotes with about 300 men on board. The canoes came sailing together in a pair of twos with 20 rods of separation from each other, so that they would be tied to the side of the ships by the same current. The surprise allowed the attackers to seize the deck of the Lima Barros and Cabral ships, whose crew locked themselves in the towers, but soon the Brazil and Herval corvettes intervened, strafing the occupied decks. The Paraguayans withdrew after suffering about 200 casualties. Brazilians had 40 casualties.\n\nDISPLACEMENT: 1,705 long tons (1,732 t) - LENGTH: 61 m (200 ft 2 in) - BEAM: 11.6 m (38 ft 2 in) - DRAFT: 3.9 m (12 ft 8 in).\n\nInstalled: POWER: 2,100 ihp (1,600 kW) ** PROPULSION: 2 shafts, 2 trunk steam engines ** SAIL PLAN: Barque-rigged ** SPEED: \t12 knots (22 km/h; 14 mph). \n\nCOMPLEMENT: 170 officers and men.\n\nARMAMENT: 2 × twin 120-pounder Whitworth rifled muzzle loader guns.\n\nARMOR: Belt: 3–4.5 in (76–114 mm) ** GUN TURRET: 4.5 in (114 mm).\n\nIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII\n\n- **This model is dedicated to 3D printing.**\n\n_Hope you like! The certificate of approval for a free-fall lifeboat shall state free-fall certification height, required launching ramp length, and launching ramp angle for the free-fall certification height. The free-fall lifeboat concept first came to light in 1897 when Swedish designer A.E. Falk patented a blueprint of an enclosed lifeboat capable of sliding off a ship stern. Thirty years later, the Bay and River Navigation Company’ s Capt White proposed a “unsinkable submarine lifeboat”. It wasn’ t until 1977 that the maritime world witnessed the first manned-launch of free-fall lifeboat from the stern of the m/s TARCOOLA at Oresundsavarvet Shipyard. The benefits of free-fall lifeboat are clear: during rapid evacuation in emergencies, the boat slides out from a ramp onboard the ship/installation and hits the water well away from the ship or installation with a high positive forward motion. Passengers are safe and secure in an enclosed cabin, safely strapped to anatomically-shaped seats. The lifeboat system is robust and can withstand high winds, powerful waves and extreme weather conditions. Makers state that testing boats in free fall do not affect the structural condition and claim that some boats have been dropped over 2000 times without significant damage. To recover the free-fall lifeboat two solutions can be adopted: an integral recovery system or a simple ramp and a combined lifesaving and provision crane. Integral recovery system consists of a pivoting A-frame that sits above the sliding ramp and is moved by two hydraulic cylinders. A wire rope engages the boat and lifts it to the required height before the A-frame is pivoted inboard to drop the boat into the correct position. However, a freefall craft cannot be used as rescue boat, so a six-man rescue boat is required in addition to the lifeboat._","imageAlt":"PM Lifeboat Free Fall Ramp 3D print model","url":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/other/pm-lifeboat-free-fall-ramp","isCLDApplicable":false,"isSaleOffApplicable":false,"gaAttributes":{},"primaryImage":{"gridFallbackUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/xxbPr9SLWQ1A52vdVssFZW34/a26e47dab5f2d22c43d6c5ce4b4b46ecc30c70918878397cba1a10c1e35d7bfc/freefall4.jpg","gridUrl":"https://media.cgtrader.com/variants/xxbPr9SLWQ1A52vdVssFZW34/78add9c2f02fbd73a43ffb3970be38683c5f15eff6ca849dc78c644f4ff9ce1b/freefall4.webp","isAdultContent":false},"modelInfo":{"modelUrl":"https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/other/pm-lifeboat-free-fall-ramp","isCgtVerified":false,"types":{"printReady":true,"animated":false,"pbr":false,"rigged":false,"lowPoly":false}},"metaverseFormatsList":[{"id":51,"name":".stl","is_native":false},{"id":12,"name":".obj","is_native":false}],"categorySlug":"miniatures","subcategorySlug":"other","categoryTitle":"Miniatures","subcategoryTitle":"Other","schemaImageUrl":"https://img-new.cgtrader.com/items/4533468/c792a38b8f/pm-lifeboat-free-fall-ramp-3d-model-c792a38b8f.webp","saleOffDiscount":0,"eligibleForSubscription":false,"subscriptionSubscribed":false,"subscriptionPotential":false}},{"id":"6430693","type":"listingItem","attributes":{"id":6430693,"title":"North Carr Light Ship 1 48th scale","price":40.0,"description":"The North Carr lightship is the last remaining Scottish lightship. Built in 1933 she served off the coast of Fife in Scotland until 1975, then was a museum ship for many years. Now she is derelict and in the process of being de-constructed in Dundee.\n\nThe original was built in Glasgow in 1932 at the Pointhouse Shipyard. She was an unpowered ship designed to be towed out and anchored in place off Fife Ness to warn of the North Carr rocks which were a danger to shipping.\n\nIn December 1959 she was the subject of a tragic rescue mission. In a fierce storm the lightship broke her moorings and began to drift towards the shore with her crew. They put out a MayDay call which was responded to by the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Mona. Unfortunately the lifeboat capsized during the rescue and its crew of eight were all lost. The lightship survived and was towed out to her moorings again with her crew safe.\n\nThe model is an accurate 1/48th scale model of the lightship, that floats on the water or can be used as a static model. The original ship is about to be lost for ever as she is about to be scrapped. The model is a small way of preserving the ship for posterity.\n\nAs indicated the model has no motor or propulsion, just like the original ship, but is designed to float as a working model. She can be fitted with a flashing light in the light tower - the access holes have been left for wiring.\n\nThe model at 1/48th scale is 700mm long, 160mm wide and stands to a height of 370mm tall. She is designed to be printed on a build plate of 200mm square. She can of course be printed either larger or smaller. \n\nThere is a detailed illustrated instruction booklet included giving a step by step set of instructions on how to put the model together. Link to a free copy of the instructions is here https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-print-models/hobby-diy/robotics/north-carr-lightship-instruction-booklet\n\nAs with all my models I am very happy to
