Who is Tuğrul Şenyurt?

I am Tuğrul Şenyurt, more known as 3DTGRL on CGTrader. I am a 42 year old architect from Turkey. I have been doing this job for 16 years. I started 3D modeling when I was at university. In those days I was learning how to use 3Ds Max and a few similar softwares. 3D modeling has been very beneficial both in my student life and my professional career as it helped to strengthen my design skills and overall knowledge.

What a contest this has been! (It actually took a lot longer to pick out the rightful winners than we expected). More than 600 entries, a record number of sponsors and 5 quality Architectural detail makers that have won. Well, without further ado, let's take a look at the winners:

We have A LOT of models fit for anything and everything. So looking at these free assets was quite fun, because there were no boundaries - except that it's new, free, and quality. Ok, that may be a lot of boundaries.. Anyhow, here's a complete random pick of the quality free 3D models - some of them low poly, some of them not. Most of them could fit any scene - some of them not. Battleships, dobermans, mountains and a perfume - enjoy the unplanned, undirected, complete randomness of a choice.

It's really hard to build a house. However, is much easier to model one in 3D! No tedious, backbreaking labor is involved (unless you have a really heavy mouse). What is more, you can cut corners and save time by using free 3D assets. And where to find them? On CGTrader, of course. Oh, Formfonts is a good alternative as well! Between architectural interiors and architectural exteriors (and details), you'll find many models that are both to your liking AND free.
