1/9
A functional 3D model of a workshop-ready plastic hammer engineered for additive manufacturing. The design splits into two flat halves, utilising layer orientation to maximise structural integrity when printed on FDM machines. Once assembled with adhesive and fasteners, the tool delivers reliable performance for light workshop tasks and general printer-side use.
Features
• Split flat design optimised for strength in FDM prints• Dual striking faces (large and small) for versatile use• Screw-and-glue assembly for secure construction• Designed for compatibility with common materials and standard nozzle sizes
Technical Details
• Flat-printed halves orient layer lines perpendicular to primary load directions• Compatible with PLA and similar thermoplastics• No support structures required when printed correctly• Designed for 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm nozzle profiles
Files Included
• STL x2 – Hammer halves• STL x1 – Blanking plug
Usage Notes
Print the hammer halves flat on the build plate for structural efficiency. After printing, apply suitable adhesive to the mating faces and secure with screws as specified. Once assembled, insert blanking plugs to conceal fasteners for a clean finish. Recommended material is PLA; adjust slicer settings for your specific machine and filament.
