To date, it has been certified six times platinum in the United Kingdom[1]. The follow-up album The Hush (1999) was also successful, reaching number one on the UK albums chart and being certified triple platinum. The band's Greatest Hits, released in 2000, became another bestseller, once again reaching number one on the UK albums chart and being certified six times platinum. The band released two more studio albums Careful What You Wish For in 2003 and Red Book in 2005, both of which were certified gold in the United Kingdom. After the release of Red Book and a tour to promote the release of the album, the band went on hiatus. Vocalist Charlene Spiteri launched her solo career with the release of her debut solo album Melody in 2008.\n\nAs of 2017, Texas had worldwide sales of 40 million records[2], they had thirteen top ten singles on the UK Singles Chart, three number one albums and eight top ten albums in the UK.
