DESCRIPTION

These are 3D print ready files of the knee. No non-manifolds. The models are created with blender and the level of detail has been created with the intention of 3D printing in mind.

In the model you can see femur, tibia and fibula, with ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), PCL (posterior cruciate ligament), MCL (medial collateral ligament), LCL (lateral collateral ligament) and medial and lateral meniscus. These are the most typical ligament and cartilage structures in the knee to receive an injury. The bones are streched apart in order to expose the ligaments properly and have a good view of them. All the parts (except meniscus, which are attached to the tibia) can be printed separately as well for assembly. They have concave slots that match the surface they can be glued to

The ligaments are stylized to have a clean look, so that showing the ligaments and seeing their attachements would be easier.

The models are solid, and you can easily make them hollow for resin printing. The scale can be easily modified to suit your printing needs. In the stands there are slots for the model to go to and also a concave slot for the patella, but there is also a stand without the patella slot if you don't need that.

If the scaling is too small in your slicer when you open the file, just go to the scaling and change the 100% to 1000%, so it scales it up 10 fold. For some reason some slicers don't understand the scale correctly that has been created with blender.

The dimension are now set that one can print the unified model in upright position with an Anycubic photon S printer, which is the one I use most.

Hello Pirkka, great model, I bought it since is one of the best I,ve seen so far. I have an observaion tho... you mixed the origin of the cruciate ligaments, The anterior cruciate ligament originates at the medial wall of the lateral femoral condyle and the Posterior cruciate ligament originates from the anterolateral aspect of the medial femoral condyle within the notch. Hopefully you could do the rework and reupload the new model. TY
