Excellent anatomical model with fine details.The brain is the central part of the nervous system of animals, usually located in the head (front) section of the body and representing a compact cluster of neurons and synapses. In many animals it also contains glial cells and may be surrounded by a connective tissue sheath. In vertebrates (including humans), a distinction is made between the brain, located in the cranial cavity, and the spinal cord, located in the spinal canal.
