DSHK heavy machine gun

DSHK heavy machine gun 3D print model

Description

The DShK is a Soviet HMG with a V-shaped butterfly trigger, firing the 12.7x108 cartridge. The weapon was also used as a heavy infantry machine gun, in which case it was frequently deployed with a two-wheeled mounting and a single-sheet armor-plate shield. It took its name from the weapons designers Vasily Degtyaryov, who designed the original weapon, and Georgy Shpagin, who improved the cartridge feed mechanism. It is sometimes nicknamed Dushka (a dear or beloved person) in Russian-speaking countries, from the abbreviation. Alongside the American Browning 50 cal, the DShK is the only .50 caliber machine gun designed prior to Second World War that remains in service to the present day, and it was used in vurtually every conflict since 1938 (year of its development).

This pack includes all details necessary to print and build a DSHK HMG with wheeled mount in 28 mm scale. This model was designed for tabletop gaming, so some details are rather enlarged or missing for sake of good and safe printing and use. The model was test printed on Elegoo Mars 2, presupported Chitubox file for slotted barrel is also included (see below). Model is intended for resin printing due to fine details, and comes with 2 muzzlecover options - slotted and solid. I DO NOT reccomend printing it with slotted option for any kind of use exept just for standing on shelf, because muzzlecover VERY easily breaks.
