Technical Description of Round Ring Design (rr0004) - Full-Set JewelryThis CAD file is designed to create a very wide and voluminous ring, the outer surface of which is completely covered with plant designs (flower or branch motifs) and an unprecedented density of small stones.
Main Specifications and Features| Feature | Details || :--- | :--- || Ring Type | Super Wide Full-Eternity Band || Design Style | Dense scrollwork and floral textures, vintage or Edwardian || Suggested Metal | 18k white gold or platinum (due to the need for strength to hold so many stones) || Stones Used | Round Gemstones (Diamonds or Ruby) || Distinguishing Feature | Extremely high density and 3D Texture in the gem setting |
Gemstone DetailsIn this design, the number of stones is very large and it seems that a standard fine size was used to cover the entire surface:
- Stone Type: Round Brilliant Cut or gemstones of similar color (such as ruby in the rendering).
- Estimated Size: $\approx 1.0$ to $1.5$ mm in diameter.
- Number: Very large (over 100 to 200 gems, depending on the size of the ring).
- Setting Type:
- Micro Pave or Heavy Pave: The stones are set with minimal spacing and in a compact 3D embossed pattern.
- This type of setting requires extremely high skill and precision tools.
- 3D Structure: The design is layered; the stones are placed at different heights, which gives the ring a lot of depth and shine.
- Metal Weight: Due to the large width and density of the design, the weight of the metal used (Gold Weight) of this model will be significantly higher than simpler models.
- Gemstone Support: The metal pillars (Prongs/Beads) holding the gems must be defined in the CAD file with the appropriate thickness so that the stones do not move out of place during construction and use.
- Undercutting: The empty and open spaces below are designed to reduce weight and allow light to pass under the gems.
