Bird ring with oval stone

Bird ring with oval stone 3D print model

Description

Idea and look was stolen from Julius Cohen's ring. I just needed to model something this morning for my routine 3d-training. Suddenly I found bird ring on 1stdibs.com site and decided to model it.

STL file intended for printing (Bird_ring_18mm.stl) contains no scratched surface but smooth one because making 3d texture is useless for any currently available printing technology nor CNC machining. But I added sculpted model (Bird_sculpt_test_Result.stl) I used for render (also were added models of gems and models of cutters for this gems). Attention: the beds for gems on the model for rendering are smoothed (I used Blender in sculting mode to prepare this model for rendering and to quickly make scratched surface)..

Rhino surce file is added as usualy in two versions: for 6th and 5th Rhino.

Ring size: inner diameter 18mm (it's ~8US size or 57 for Cartier's scale or Q for UK scale or 16 for Japanese scale)

Small diamond: 0.01ct round cut (1.4mm)

Central stone: oval 6.5x5x(3.11)mm

Model volume: ~306mm^3

So real weight for sterling silver must be less than 3g (or circa 4-4.5g for gold alloys)
