Garden House Bird Feeder 3D print model
This is a Bird feeder designed for small birds. It is inspired by garden houses and Gazebos. It has a container in the center that holds bird seed. The seed is then distributed trough the six holes at the bottom. The seed container can be filled trough the bottom. The pointy bottom is a lid that can be removed to get to the inside. This model is tested with an FDM Printer with a 0.4mm Nozzle and mostly PLA Filament.
File “buis VASE MODE.stl” must be printed using the “Spiral Outer Contour mode” or “Vase Mode”.Do not forget to set the bottom layers on 0. If you do not want to use the VASE MODE, then you also can set your print setting on: 0% infill, 1 Wall line & 0 Top/Bottom layers. I printed this out of translucent PET-G. This way you can see the seed inside.
Files “deksel PRINT SUPPORT.stl” & “ vloer PRINT SUPPORT.stl” must be printed using print support.
With the settings: 0.2mm resolution, 3 wall lines, 4 Top /Bottom layers, 15% infill & support material with 10% support density, this model uses 333 gram of Filament. It takes around 34 hours to print.
To assemble this model, it is recommended to start with the floor part (vloer PRINT SUPPORT.stl). First put the Pillars (pilaar L.stl & pilaarR.stl) and the Entrances (ingang.stl) in. Then place the cylinder (buis VASE MODE.stl) in the middle. Then place the roof part (dak.stl) on. I just glued the parts together with Super Glue. Note: Do not glue the lid (deksel VASE MODE.stl) on the bottom.
I also included 3d files wherein the separate parts are assembled. The files are named: “Garden House Bird Feeder total assembly”.
