This 3D printable safety cover is designed to prevent access to a UK double electrical socket. It acts as a protective barrier that helps stop children from inserting fingers or objects into the outlet area, making it suitable for use in environments where electrical sockets are located close to cots, beds, or play areas.
The design consists of two parts. The main cover prints flat on the build plate for easier printing and improved surface quality. A secondary switch-cover component is glued to the rear of the main cover to complete the assembly.
The cover attaches to the socket faceplate using double-sided mounting tape, allowing it to be installed without modifying the wall or electrical fitting.
