In 2021 Formula 1 made its first visit to the Arab nation of Saudi Arabia, giving the drivers a new night-time street circuit to master, and the sport will return there in 2022.The plan is for the event to move to a new venue in the future, with the track to be built as part of a massive entertainment city in Qiddiya.But for now, it is the streets of Jeddah that welcome Formula 1 to Saudi Arabia, with experienced Formula 1 track designer Hermann Tilke brought in to handle the design of the track which runs along the banks of the Red Sea.
