Model of LCT-Mk5
The model has been prepared and detailed for 1:100 wargaming. Meaning the railing is a bit stronger to prevent breaking to easy. It is waterline model and not a complete hull design. The Hull would be below water and would not work on a gaming table. The model is based on original drawings and designed in Blender by myself. Prepared for FDM printing, no resin printer needed.
As you see in the pictures, I still need to clean and basecoat the model, but I am better in 3D-design and printing than I am in finalizing the model :-( I will add a picture of the base-coated model in the future.
The model includes a number of options.
If you want you can add two 20mm Oerlikons to the model, left and right from the wheel-house. Here you can find my free model; https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-print-models/miniatures/other/20mm-oerlikon-navy-anti-aircraft-gun
Included the hull in 1 part and also a cut in 2 parts. I printed the hull flat on the print-bed. That does give some layer-lines, which is ok for me. But if you do not like that you could print the 2 hull parts vertical. However, that will increase he print time considerable as you will need extra support but it will look better. If needed print the hull vertical in 020mm layer for somewhat faster print and no layer-lines on the deck. 020mm will still look great after sanding and basecoating.
Test printed on a Creality Ender 5 (upgraded to pro) on 016mm laye, photo's of the test-prints included.
Model dimensions when printed in 1:100 scale
52 seperate stl-files, total prints needed ~79 depending on the version you want to build.
UPDATE 02-05-2021 - Added extra Hull with side-boards etc as part of the model. Less glue needed. Hull-complete-V2.stl and also cut into 2 parts to fit most printer beds. Again, best printed horizontal.
