300 spartan helmet replica 3D print model

Medieval Spartan Helmet King Leonidas 300 Movie Helmet Replica This helmet is designed according to the pattern that is presented in the film of 300 Leonid Spartans. The model is ideal for printing on a 3d printer. The archives contain a helmet with high resolution and low resolution for your choice. In the archives there is only a 3D model of the helmet, no comb, it can be made independently.

In the photo you can see the finished result, perfectly fits on the head. In the 3D model there is no comb, you can make it yourself from a brush. Inside the helmet, it is recommended to make foam tabs.

I am ready to provide advice on painting and the manufacture of the upper part of the helmet.

There are files for 3D printing.

Have a friend that has purchased this file for me to print. The model looks fine until it is sliced. Then there is a notch all around the helmet just above the eye cut outs. Is there a problem with this STL file ?

I was looking for a screen accurate model of the Spartan helmet to join a group cosplay (#300dc). It's not easy to tell from the item pictures, but the helmet proportions cannot be scaled to be close enough to screen accurate. The eyes are too tall and face guard opening by the mouth is too wide. The look is too different from others in the cosplay group that wear movie replicas. If you don't need true screen accuracy to match others, this helmet should work. My suggestion is to scale to ~85% in horizontal planes to better fit your head, but keep vertical ~90% to make it seem less wide. With that scaling, I still would need foam padding to fit properly. Armorsmith is a great app to help figure out the appropriate scaling before printing. Even though this model is not usable for me, positive review because the seller was very responsive.
