Ingram MAC-10 submachine gun mechanical replica 3D print model
I present the mechanical model of the classic Ingram MAC-10 submachine gun (45 CAL). Most of the details were modeled according to drawings from the Internet and only a few details, the drawings of which I could not find, were modeled from photographs. There were also abolished two parts of the firing mechanism, which in a real submachine gun affect mainly shooting modes (single / automatic). Since my model is not designed for shooting, then there is no need for this detail. Nevertheless, the imitator of the shooting modes is present and is mobile. For the performance of the firing mechanism, you will need metal pins, springs, as well as one metal tube, which is a guide for the bolt spring. I used a hollow tube with an outer diameter of 5 mm and a length of 190 mm. At the end of this tube, at a distance of 2.5 mm, it is necessary to drill a vertical through hole for the locking pin. However, there is no critical need for this pin, the spring will not be able to fly out anyway. The size of the main bolt spring: 300 x 9 x 0.5 mm All the necessary gaps have already been laid when modeling on a computer, however a little post-processing is still required. Regarding print material - there are no critical recommendations. I printed on the PLA, but you can print on the ABS or combined. Regarding the size of printing, of course, large-format printers are recommended. Personally I printed the big parts in two parts. I do not know what printer size you will use, so the big parts are divided into two or three parts. In the library of STL files you will find them in the version of completely and in parts.
