I designed this part for a clean installation of the xTouch controller onto our P1S printer. This hides and protects USB wire from inside the P1S to the xTouch control head. A narrow strip of double stick tape should be added to the molding recess after the wire is tucked in place. See photo of the completed installation.
I use the xTouch controller quite fequently. It's really convient for controlling x,y,z movement while standing at the printer. The travel steps can be set to 10x. It's also nice for testing and trouble shooting extrusion, loading and unloading filaments... I often prefer to control the printer in person rather than from a remote pc or app.
The color touch screen is a nice and very affordable upgrade. I just wanted a good way to route the xTouch cable to Bambu's port inside of the cabinet, without exposed cable or drilling a hole... This part does the trick for $3.
The tipping xTouch mount (not included) is handy because I use the original controller for a few things as well, like printing private files directly from an SD card.
Thank you for checking out this model. Feel free to purchase the download files here or spend a bit of time designing something similar using CAD software.
