Tamiya Incorporated (Kabushiki gaisha Tamiya) is a Japanese manufacturer of plastic model kits, radio controlled cars, battery and solar powered educational models, sailboat models, acrylic and enamel model paints and various modeling tools and supplies. The company was founded by Yoshio Tamiya [ja] in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1946.
The metal molds were produced from plans which had the concept of being easy to understand and build, even for beginners. Even the box art was consistent with this throughout the company.
The company has gained a reputation among hobbyists of producing models of outstanding quality and accurate scale detail, a philosophy reflected directly on the company's motto, First in Quality Around the World. Tamiya Inc. has also been awarded on a regular basis each year, the Modell des Jahres (Model of the Year) award, hosted by the German magazine ModellFan
- Is it printable in the correct 1 10 th scale?
- Yes, the model is in scale 1:10! Ready for 3D print! Print, Plug and Drive!
- Wow that's awesome!
- Eureka It works!!!!! Now all I need to do is find a nice open space to let it rip!!! This is just the basic prototype with time I will make it look cleaner and more professional. Made entirely from recycled plastic parts I found laying around at home. I did not spend a penny on building this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ExenG9agrg&feature=youtu.be We should do a collaboration project together and build some more bodies for your 3D print if you are interested?
- Is it mechanically functional? If I put a battery and motor electronics will it run? If so do you have a video to prove it works?
- What is the scale on this model? Is it 1 10 if I print it can it fit my motors and other electronic devices?
- is it a single file or separated per part
- No, it's separated per parts! You can print every single part separately!
- Good work!)
- Will it be operational if only the electronic parts are installed? (Motor, esc, servo). What do we need to use to make it fully operational? Does it have a video?
