Stasis Pod from Transformers Animated

Stasis Pod from Transformers Animated 3D print model

Protoforms and the stasis pods they come in are always such an interesting part of the Transformers creation lore. No different in Animated, here's our take on these sacred artefacts which were protected by the Cyber-Ninja Corps!

With its lid closed, the front of the stasis pod features a lid bubble which is likely a status indicator of the protoform within. Opening the hinged lid will reveal the protoform, and some sensor details on the lid's underside.

Under the protoform, some detail parts have also be designed to be accurate to its look in the animation.

However, these will make the inner floor of the pod uneven. So it's recommended to have those not permanently glued to the base of the pod, but instead left removeable as seen below, so the protoform can lie flat inside!

The pod has also be sized slightly larger than a protoform to let it lie inside much more spaciously and also allow deluxe sized bots to lie within!

As a option, there are these 5mm port on the top and bottom parts where the lid and body meet. These are for 5x3mm magnets to be use so there is a slight magnetic attraction to keep the lid closed.

=== Assembly ===

The attached image shows how the parts of the stasis pod and how they are to be assembled.

As a small note - the peg pieces which help affix the detailed to the main parts of the pod may require slight size tweaking to get it to fit just right!

Hope this is a nice diorama piece for you Animated collections. Have fun 3d printing a (or a hundred?) stasis pods! =)
