Open the road for Racer X and his Shooting Star race car!

This is a fully detailed and carefully modeled version of the Shooting Star, the race car driven by Speed Racer's brother, Rex, under his new persona—Racer X.

I aimed to create a design that strikes a balance between the classic cartoon style and the more realistic proportions of a real-life race car. This time, I opted for the classic rims (which, by the way, are fully compatible with the Mach 5 model). I also included a detailed interior, and since the engine is such a defining feature of this car, I designed a removable hood to showcase the engine detail inside. Of course, if you prefer, you can glue it in place.

To ensure the wheels actually spin, you'll need a 2mm metal rod—the kind commonly found in hanger wires—to use as the wheel axles.

In the files you can find both a version with printable decals and an uncut version for anyone who prefers to paint and add decals by themselves.
