Ironhide Drill from Transformers Generation 1

Ironhide Drill from Transformers Generation 1 3D print model

Description

Here's a fun little piece from way back in the early generation one pilot where Ironhide pulled out this wicked looking drill to help find and free Sparkplug and Bumblebee from the collapsed remains of the ruby mine of Burma.

This piece has been designed with several variations, which allow for easier painting, or various posing and play possibilities.

One of these versions show the drill with its bit still in it retraced position. Probably as its definitely a OSHA violation of sort to stow this with the tip extended.

Another variant has the drill with a separate body and drill portion -- this would allow for easier painting of the entire drill bit. With the drill bit in pace, it looks exactly like the full version, and as a bonus, the peg on the drill body also allows other effect pars to be added on to it to create different looks and poses.

The rear of this piece sports a 5mm port which can be used in conjunction with other effect parts or accessories too, like some rubber tubing right here.

Coming over to alt mode, this pegs nicely on the top of the roof, so guess this is a way of storing it :)

And there we have it, a nostalgic call back to one of the earliest accessories we saw Ironhide get equipped with back in the day. Hope everyone has fun with this one! ;)
