As a boy I used to stand on this sort of fence to watch trains go past near my home.
The biggest issue with any fence like this is being strong enough what you don’t easily break it, so this design has had to be slightly strengthened by increasing the post widths. The posts also must be slightly larger to be able to have wire holes big enough to get fine wire through. Hopefully from the pictures the posts still look realistic. In OO scale I spaced the posts 25mm apart.
There are two versions of this post where one has a flat base that can be glued to the baseboard and the other has a circular section that you can put in a drilled hole.
This item has been designed at OO gauge, 1/76 scale, post hole 3mm dia.for HO gauge print at 87%, 1/87 scale, post hole 2.6mm dia.for O gauge UK print at 175%, 1/43.5 scale, post hole 5.3mm dia.for O gauge American print at 158%, 1/48 scale, post hole 4.8mm dia.For TT gauge print at 63.5%, post hole 2mm dia.for N Gauge UK print at 51.5%, 1/148 Scale, post hole 1.8mm dia. (Caution: I have not test printed this in N gauge scale).
These items have been tested on a Bambu Labs A1 Mini FDM print with a 0.2mm nozzle, for OO/HO you can print on a FDM printer. For smaller scales I would recommend a resin printer.Having printed these and used them I would say they would be best printed on a resin printer using something like ABS like resin. For the wire I used Bright Silver Copper Wire for Jewelry Making, 25m X 0.2mm Jewellery Wire from Amazon - https://amzn.to/4aCurXq (Affiliate Link)
