Carcassonne Big Box Storage Upgrade 3D print model

If you purchased the Carcassonne Big Box, then you know - it's a great deal and a great game, but a horrible box! Way too big...

So, I created a new box that makes storage, transportation, and setup/teardown way easier! The scoring tile and instruction booklet act as the lid. There is enough room in the box to store ALL content that comes in the Carcassonne Big Box collection. It also comes with 8 storage trays. 6 of them are for each color's meeples, and the other two store the various other gameplay tokens. I use these to separate the expansion tiles as well. Not only is the box way smaller, but setup and teardown is WAY faster now!

The two shorter sides show the Carcassonne text and the two longer sides show all 11 expansion symbols embossed. This 3D-printed using PLA filament, and as with all 3D-printing there may be minor imperfections / blemishes that are normal, but overall the quality is very high. The box is printed using a 2-piece design that will ship assembled, but you will notice a seam where the two halves meet. Or, if you have a large-format printer, there is a 1-piece model for you as well.

3D Printer Settings:

0.4 or 0.6 nozzle both work, 0.3 layers (0.25 first layer). There is 0.1mm of clearance on the box assembly features, which results in a fairly tight press fit once printed (ie: it will take some force to assemble and you might need to clean up defects first with a knife, but that means it will stay together once assembled).

Alternatively, if you have a large format printer, you can print the single piece box file instead - no assembly required!
