SpaceX Crew Dragon Keyring 3D print model

So, how do you think the astronauts onboard Dragon Crew keep their keys? They use keyrings, obviously!

Now you can have your own keyring inspired on that fancy capsule with first-class seats and great onboard entertainment system!

The model is separated in two parts so they can be printed in their respective colours (white and black/graphite/silver). The top portion of the capsule has a channel where you can attach a small chain, cord or keyring.

The tolerances are well within 0.2 to 0.5 mm so just minor sanding and filling will be required for the assembly if you have a tuned printer.

It is recommended to test a “dry fit” prior any permanent gluing.

The glue recommended varies based on the type of filament. As a starting point, conventional CA glue can be used as well as model kits glues, the later one allowing a bit more of time to align and adjust the parts.

The recommender 3D printing settings for layer heights and support are suggested in the instruction for each file. Infill ranging from 15% to 20% suits most of the parts.
