Gave myself a real challenge in making a model of DVA’s Tank/Meka “Toki” but also in creating a fully posable model. I decided upon 1/10 scale as any bigger and he wouldn’t fit shelves! . . and smaller and the proposed DVA models and crew would be too small for my liking to create enough detail . ..

This is not a model for the faint hearted or newbie, there are 88 parts in total and you will also need the following; 2 x M6 x 25mm nuts&bolts 3 x M6 x 30mm nuts&bolts 1 x m6 x 75mm studding 4 x M3 self tapping screws 10mm x 2mm magnets 8mm x 2mm magnets

I have spent countless hours and weeks modifying, designing limbs and print testing parts to ensure he is robust enough and also resembles a model of the character. So here he is. . . . please enjoy

I have zipped the parts into 3 main categories; Main Body Pelvis n Legs Arms n Things Using 7Zip. I have done this to keep files together and have included instructional video’s in each of the zips for assembly.

There is a PDF file with the graphics should you wish to create waterslides like the photo’s There is also a positive and negative mould for vacuum forming the screen (not vented) Also the roof of the model has a 4 piece version for resin printers . .

Model is 1/10th scale therefore 300mm. The model can be scaled down by 50% but be aware you will not be able to articulate the joints, however I have created a model while print testing at 50% and glued the joints into a suitable pose . .

All parts are cut files to fit build plate of small resin printers like the Photon or have separate files than the FDM versions included. All the parts have been printed and developed to print, A lot of prints have been produced to get the figures corrected and fault free.

Why cut into many smaller parts I have been asked?

  1. If you try and assemble this, then paint it . .it would be difficult to paint into hidden areas, less masking when painting separate parts.
  2. Smaller parts not only allow for Resin print at full scale, but also allow individual parts to use less supports than one larger part on FDM printers So now you know! Please do not scale down or adjust my recommended settings for infill etc. . . as you can see from the pictures this prints very well and I believe you will be pleased with the result when completed. All of my models are only released when they can print! so please do not remix or fix faults in this model then republish! If there is a fault then let me know . . message me I will answer and fix problem. . apart from that print make enjoy.

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

It is advised to Paint the majority of the parts before assembly. I would also advise very little primer and print arms and legs in a dark grey or black to avoid having too much paint on the rotating joints.

. . and last advice view the video’s before starting to build !

Resin just be aware of hollowing too much! But 90% of my build was in resin.

FDM Limbs 60% fill 0.12 speed 40 Rest at 0.16 30% fill, speed 50

The decals are water slide transfers using printed waterslide transfer paper. These decals are in the download . . .main body.zip as a PDF file for you to print
