The genus was one of the first Mesozoic marine reptiles known to science—the first fossils of Mosasaurus were found as skulls in a chalk quarry near the Dutch city of Maastricht in the late 18th century, and were initially thought to be crocodiles or whales. One skull discovered around 1780 was famously nicknamed the great animal of Maastricht. In 1808, naturalist Georges Cuvier concluded that it belonged to a giant marine lizard with similarities to monitor lizards but otherwise unlike any known living animal. This concept was revolutionary at the time and helped support the then-developing ideas of extinction. Cuvier did not designate a scientific name for the animal; this was done by William Daniel Conybeare in 1822 when he named it Mosasaurus in reference to its origin in fossil deposits near the Meuse River. Simple gardening gloves, a somewhat thin insulated glove, or any leather or cloth glove should work. This is the second version, redesign to allow for the rings attaching the blades to the fingers to be modular. A variety of ring sizes have been included, making it easier to customize the prosthetic for more hand and finger types. Ring sizes range from 20 to 28mm, with open and closed rings, allowing for a more flexible fit and finger sizes. \n\n**Print Settings and Preferences**\n- My prints use **** and Chitubix, using tree supports.- Print at 0.1 to 0.2mm thickness 100% infill (FDM). \n- Supports are required for most parts.\n- The blades can be printed flat, but they have a slight taper, so I printed them blade up, with supports on the curved tip.\n- The finger parts are best printed at a vertical angle, with supports. This adds some strength, allowing curved surfaces more flex.- In general, I tend to set wall counts to 3 or 4 and set wall overlap to at least 15%, again for increased strength. 20 to 25% is better.\n- The palm plate, was printed vertically, since it mainly anchors the base of the finger hinges to the glove.\n- This design or parts of it can be printed on a resin printer for cleaner results.\n\n**Print Parts for one hand**\n1 palm plate (pegged or pegless)3 Large Fing Base\n3 Large Fing Tip\n1 small finger Tip\n1 small finger Base\n4 regular / long Hinges\n4 blades (normal or serrated)\nPrint 1 ring for each fing tip and base (open/closed ring of preferred sizes)\n\n\n**Print Ready Wrist Tether** (optional)\nIn addition to the blade prosthetic, I've included print in place chain links and loop ends for the chains. These can be linked and snapped onto the nubs near the base of the palm plate to anchor the prosthetic to the wrist. \n\n1. Print 2 of the chosen link chains or 1 of each (approximately 125mm long). \nLink are easy to print and connect. There are about 6 links per printable chain. Print as many as needed\n\n2. Print 1 ChainStart and 1 ChainEnd. Be sure to orient the flattest side on the build plate.\n\n3. Link the print ulink chains and attach the ChainStart to one end.\n\n4. Thread a plamPlate nub through the wide section of the ChainStart, and then slide the ChainStart until the nub snaps into the narrow section.\n\n5. Test the length to make sure that the chain can reach around your wrist / glove to the opposite end of the palmPlate, and then remove extra links.\n\n6. Attach the ChainEnd to the shortened tether and snap it onto the remaining nub.\n- Optional (if not using M4 screws for version 1 of palm plate):\n- 4 slideHingePin  or 4 hingePin (plastic pins to attach hinges)\n- Glue may be needed to anchor the pins in this case.\n\n**Assembly**\n1. The blades slide into the finger tips from the front. (If they get stuck going in, make sure that the sides of the blades and inner slot are smooth.)\n\n2. The base of the finger tips slot into the top of the finger bases.\n\n3. The ends of the finger bases snap into the pronged end of the hinge pivots.\n\n4. Each hinge pivot can then be snapped onto the pins at the top of the palm plate.    \n- Alternatively, if using version 1 of the palm plate, use four M4 10mm screws and nuts to attach the hinge pivots to the palm plate v1.\n    Don't make them too tight. Consider using glue or tape to lock the nut in position.\n\n5. Once assembled, thread the fingers of the glove through the loops of each corresponding finger ring, with the palm plate resting on the back of the glove.\n\n6.
