I also looked at this in a very similar way for steam engines. Depending on bogie spacing some had a bigger external overhang but minimal internal overhand. The new class 800 IEP I wouldn't use on a track with a platform on a curve because to overhang exceeds all other rolling stock by a fair distance.\n\nThis tool is primarily a train bogie with two arms, one for the internal overhang and the other for the external overhang.
