Spruance Class DD977 USS Briscoe

Spruance Class DD977 USS Briscoe 3D model

Description

These Destroyers are very detailed and built near to scale for an accurate representation of the original object. It looks very realistic and renders nicely without any special render software. It includes a lot of detail on weather decks. Many features are animateable including rudders, propellers, radar antennas, guns, missile launchers, missiles, hanger doors, and others. The model comes with high resolution textures that allows for close-up renders, and was originally modeled in 3ds Max 2013. Note that every ship in a particular class has variations from the original design criteria and these variations are not always available to us. These models come in a wide variety of formats.

The Spruance Destroyer Class was designed to escort a Carrier Task force and protect it from Submarine warfare.

The first in class was commissioned in 1975 and the class served for three decades before being replaced. When they began to age they were decommissioned and not upgraded in favor of the newer Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers. The last Spruance was decommissioned in 2005.
