DESCRIPTION

Product Name : Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model Steam Locomotive engine with tender from around the early 1900's. Extremely accurate and realistic. Built using manyblueprints.

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model Scale model is divided into logical components (eg: boiler, frame, valve gear, braking pipes, etc), and multiple objects are grouped together. There are about 100 objects in the scene! Model includes cabin controls, and most levers and handles can be manipulated! Many pieces can be salvaged from this model, including levers, wheels, chains and whatnot.

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model does not include textures but does include materials seen in the these renders. Materials can easily be changed. Rendered in Mental Ray.

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model This model is not suited for subdivision - it contains many n-gons and triangles. The geometry is otherwise extremely clean - no missing polygons, no ugly smoothing, no overlapping faces/vertices - clean render from any angle! Lights are set up, and you must only render.

This is my Ty 23 model. This type of locomotive was produced in 1927 in Eastern Europe. It is made to scale, it matches original locomotive almost perfectly.Uv is non-overlap. Basic texture with color for further texturing. The model was used as an asset in movie production.

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model Historical American 4-4-0 steam locomotive from 1865, complete with accurate components, valve gear, pipes and cab controls. Built and UV Mapped in 3DS Max 2013, rendered in Mental Ray.

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model This isn't a model of any specific locomotive, but it accurately reflects American steam locomotive construction from the period. Model includes accurate frames, injector pipes and driving gear mechanism, with each component separated and named. This is one of the few models available that includes accurate cab controls (for the engineer and fireman).

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model Scale model has been UV Mapped and the textures - diffuse, specular and bump - have all been included in jpeg format in the RAR file. The textures give the locomotive a weathered, industrial look - somewhat rusty on top and dirty underneath. This was done on purpose to make the old engine look more realistic.

Steam Locomotive Train Low Poly 3D Model How To Add The Textures Open the .max model in 3DS Max. Select the locomotive. Go the Slate Material Editor... add the diffuse, specular and bump maps. Do the same for the Tender. A few less important objects (like the chains and tracks) have a simple material applied to them - these are not texture mapped. The loco and tender have their own separate texture files.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.
Learn more
Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
