HISTORY: SO-17 (Sergo Ordzhonikidze - 17) - the most widespread cargo steam locomotive of Soviet time. Years of construction 1937 - 1951. In total 4487 locomotives have been constructed. This steam locomotive has passed the second world war, helped to restore the country after war. The model is executed under drawings and photos of really working steam locomotive in Kiev, station Darnitsa, Ukraine.

Brilliant, well-detailed model. I've never actually seen a Soviet-era steam loco, but this looks totally authentic and reflects the care that has been put into creating it. Great job!
By the way, I really appreciated the inclusion of a driver figure . This is all too often absent from other train models. I suspect that Yevgeny (ok, I named him) will be employed to drive several other trains I have purchased.
