Deep space exploration Vessel, the largest in the fleet at 400 Metres in length, this is a Vessel designed for long periods, many years in fact, of going where no other has been before. Weighing in excess of 2000 Tonne this is no lightweight,......but is able to travel FTL (faster than light) thanks to its upgraded Warp Drive capable of up to Warp 3 ( 27 times faster than light)

A crew of over 600 ensure the smooth running on the long, and no doubt, dangerous missions this vessel is tasked with.

Although not deemed a Battleship, should the need arise to defend itself then the eight Bow Tubes are able to launch the Ajax class Nuclear Torpedo........simultaneously

ECM, Shield and Cloaking capabilities mean the Ship is able to defend itself in other ways,....... some would say unsinkable To Infinity…and Beyond!

How To Import This Model Into Blender/ your Blender Scene:

Unzip USS_IOWA.7z

7zip, if you dont have it can be downloaded here : ....its free.

After you have extracted the file:

  1. Open Blender

  2. Go to File........find and open USS_IOWA.Blend

If you are adding selected objects to a current scene:

  1. Select: Append

  2. Go To Your USS_IOWA Folder Location

  3. Open: USS_IOWA.Blend

  4. Select the Object : USS_IOWA which will add the model to your Scene

  5. Select Append from library

The model will load with default 4K textures but can be changed to 2K if desired with the file provided

Modelled in Blender 2.79 & tested in 2.80

Textured in Substance Painter 2

Metalness/Roughness workflow used

PBR Metalrough Workflow: BaseColor, Metallic, Roughness & Normal Maps

Cycles used for the Rendered images

You have the option to choose from 4K or 2K Texture Maps...…..just load which you require into the image texture nodes (uising the Image Texture Nodes)

FBX & OBJ Users:

Once the Model is loaded you will need to assign the textures provided ( Either 2K or 4K )
