EVERYPlant Noes Medullosa SINGLE --1 Model-- 3D model
Name: Noe's Medullosa
Scientific: Medullosa noei
About this Package: This package contains only a single model of a plant in good health, fully mature, and in full, year-round foliage. This package is intended for the budget conscious buyer in need of only a single version of the plant. This same species can also be found in 12 seperate variations containing various models representing different stages of maturity, health, LOD and other details; look for them in the EVERYPlant store. The exact plant variation in this single package is unique and cannot be found in any of the other package.
Habitat: Extinct plant from the Carboniferous to the early Permian Period (about 360 to 250 million years ago). It appears to have preferred floodplains and swampy ground where it grew in the prehistoric forest sub-story.
Range: Fossils have been found in North America, Europe, parts of Asia and Oceania suggesting this plant had a wide range.
Notes: These plants were small to medium-sized trees with fern-like fronds for leaves. It has no living counterpart today though superficially it resembled a modern day tree-fern. This plant is noted for having very large seeds; this, along with the size of it's pollen, has suggested to some scientists that some form of animal interventions was required to fertile and disperse the seeds. If so, then this is the earliest known instance of a plant-animal symbiosis. The exact placement of the fruit/seeds on the plant is not known, but it is thought to have been on the ends of fronds, as is depicted in this model.
Included in this Package: 1 model only of a mature, healthy plant.
Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting and is as supplied), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product.
Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders, this is the default map size and is included in each of the file format download files, no need for seperate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some system and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures are also available and may be downloaded alongside the various model formats. Different texture sizes can simply be swapped in or out by copying the Maps sub-folder; no need to manipulate the materials in your editor. Please use whichever best suites your system and needs.
