Description
Name: Date Palm LowPoly
Scientific: Phoenix dactylifera
This Variation: 4 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: This plant has been cultivated for over 8,000 years and has a long history with human civilisation. Today it is grown in extensive orchards in Africa and Asia, as well as an ornmental species in many parts of the world. In it's natural range, Date Palms can be found in most places with well-drained sandy soil. It is probably native to northern Africa, but exact origin is difficult to determine due to extensive cultivation.
Included in this Package: 16 models in total
-
Standard -- 11,100 polygons, 19,907 vertices -- 20.44m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 11,015 polygons, 19,786 vertices -- 20.44m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 10,295 polygons, 18,331 vertices -- 20.32m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 5,763 polygons, 9,995 vertices -- 19.46m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 1,279 polygons, 2,007 vertices -- 16.61m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Stump -- 166 polygons, 157 vertices -- 4.64m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
-
Uprooted -- 16,447 polygons, 19,026 vertices -- 8.34m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
-
Ancient -- 11,236 polygons, 20,075 vertices -- 21.9m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 10,760 polygons, 19,443 vertices -- 11.07m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 7,402 polygons, 14,077 vertices -- 5.22m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 5,780 polygons, 11,159 vertices -- 2.83m tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 7,752 polygons, 15,085 vertices -- 20.44m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 16,233 polygons, 26,828 vertices -- 20.44m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 11,859 polygons, 22,981 vertices -- 20.44m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 17,623 polygons, 19,760 vertices -- 20.44m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 18,395 polygons, 29,583 vertices -- 20.44m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
