Description
Name: Date Palm LowPoly
Scientific: Phoenix dactylifera
This Variation: 3 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: This plant has been cultivated for over 8,000 years and has a long history with human civilisation. Today it is grown in extensive orchards in Africa and Asia, as well as an ornmental species in many parts of the world. In it's natural range, Date Palms can be found in most places with well-drained sandy soil. It is probably native to northern Africa, but exact origin is difficult to determine due to extensive cultivation.
Included in this Package: 16 models in total
-
Standard -- 9,784 polygons, 17,443 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 9,727 polygons, 17,345 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 9,565 polygons, 16,877 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 5,729 polygons, 9,877 vertices -- 22.89m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 1,801 polygons, 2,746 vertices -- 18.81m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Stump -- 167 polygons, 156 vertices -- 3.11m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
-
Uprooted -- 13,286 polygons, 15,656 vertices -- 9m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
-
Ancient -- 9,814 polygons, 17,514 vertices -- 24.2m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 9,654 polygons, 17,204 vertices -- 11.86m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 6,004 polygons, 11,464 vertices -- 5.61m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 5,522 polygons, 10,450 vertices -- 3.91m tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 6,964 polygons, 13,413 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 16,055 polygons, 25,516 vertices -- 22.56m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 10,341 polygons, 20,041 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 15,542 polygons, 17,318 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 17,202 polygons, 27,052 vertices -- 22.56m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
