Description
Name: Date Palm LowPoly
Scientific: Phoenix dactylifera
This Variation: 1 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: This plant has been cultivated for over 8,000 years and has a long history with human civilisation. Today it is grown in extensive orchards in Africa and Asia, as well as an ornmental species in many parts of the world. In it's natural range, Date Palms can be found in most places with well-drained sandy soil. It is probably native to northern Africa, but exact origin is difficult to determine due to extensive cultivation.
Included in this Package: 16 models in total
-
Standard -- 12,822 polygons, 22,823 vertices -- 22.16m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 12,764 polygons, 22,728 vertices -- 22.16m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 12,562 polygons, 22,193 vertices -- 22.17m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 6,989 polygons, 12,145 vertices -- 21.84m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 1,673 polygons, 2,501 vertices -- 18.24m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Stump -- 741 polygons, 747 vertices -- 8.46m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
-
Uprooted -- 13,838 polygons, 16,261 vertices -- 5.44m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
-
Ancient -- 12,860 polygons, 22,869 vertices -- 23.76m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 12,139 polygons, 21,937 vertices -- 11.74m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 7,147 polygons, 13,613 vertices -- 5.22m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 7,474 polygons, 14,272 vertices -- 2.85m tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 8,927 polygons, 17,208 vertices -- 22.16m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 19,327 polygons, 31,415 vertices -- 22.16m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 1,676 polygons, 26,267 vertices -- 22.16m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 20,508 polygons, 22,648 vertices -- 22.16m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 20,754 polygons, 33,107 vertices -- 22.16m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
