Description
Name: Coconut Palm LowPoly
Scientific: Cocos nucifera
This Variation: 4 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: Long held synonymous with tropical beach paradises, the coconut palm is an important source of food and building material for many peoples of the world. Evidence suggests it has been cultivated since prehistoric times. Its trunk, though tree like, is actually not wood, but a fibrous collection of overlapping stems. It is extremely widespread, found in virtually all tropical and sub-tropical areas the world over. The plant is highly salinity tolerant, making it a primary coastal plant in the tropics where it grows on sandy soil. The seed (coconut) can float in the ocean for up to one year before reaching landfall to colonise a new area.
Included in this Package: 16 models in total
-
Standard -- 8,582 polygons, 14,621 vertices -- 26.31m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 8,564 polygons, 14,591 vertices -- 26.31m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 7,732 polygons, 12,942 vertices -- 25.76m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 5,799 polygons, 9,742 vertices -- 25.76m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 2,832 polygons, 3,865 vertices -- 20.05m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Stump -- 543 polygons, 545 vertices -- 4.91m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
-
Uprooted -- 10,492 polygons, 13,167 vertices -- 4.5m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
-
Ancient -- 9,375 polygons, 15,837 vertices -- 29.91m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 5,856 polygons, 10,218 vertices -- 12.92m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 1,322 polygons, 2,479 vertices -- 5.25m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 475 polygons, 1,033 vertices -- 2.7m tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 5,282 polygons, 10,184 vertices -- 26.31m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 12,580 polygons, 19,996 vertices -- 26.31m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 8,492 polygons, 16,052 vertices -- 26.31m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 13,812 polygons, 14,352 vertices -- 26.31m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 5,995 polygons, 10,866 vertices -- 26.31m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
