DESCRIPTION

Realistic Norway Spruce Tree Pack Vol. 2

The Norway spruce (picea abies), is a large evergreen conifer native to Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe. It typically thrives in cool, moist climates and is commonly found growing in well-drained soils across low and high altitude mountainous regions and boreal forests. This tree pack of high-poly spruce trees contain highly detailed and old norway spruce trees - designed to be placed either in dense forests or stand out in large fields. They look very realistic close up and far away. High attention to detail on trunk base and lower branches, ensuring the natural feeling of spruce forests. Orginally desgined for ROBLOX, but can also be used in other game engines and 3D renders as well. This tree pack comes with 3 LOD sets (see pics) with each set containing 7 trees, meaning you can choose freely which set you feel necessary, or use your own LOD system.

Blender statistics:

(Sum of all 7 models per set)

LOD_02:

  • 63,553 polygons
  • 83,979 vertices

Textures:

  • Included texture maps are: diffuse, alpha, normal and roughness.
  • All texturemaps are 2048x2048.
  • Two sets included: summer and winter.

Content:

  • 7 spruce tree models (3 LODs per model)

Information:

  • All meshparts are set to Box collisionfidelity. To change this, locate CollisionFidelity under Properties in studio.
  • Leaves meshparts are set to default CanCollide = false.
  • For optimal placing, use BrushTool plugin (free scattering plugin)
  • If you have performance issues, tick StreamingMesh under model properties and enable StreamingEnabled under workspace.

Disclaimer:

  • Ground foliage; ferns, bushes, sticks, boulders not included.
  • If the textures do not load in when you insert .rbxm or .rbxmx file into studio, then you have to upload the textures manually. Unzip textures.zip and upload every texture in all folders into studio, then insert them into the SurfaceAppearance.
  • If you have any issues regarding downloading, uploading, parsing, etc., please contact me on discord (@registrert) or here on DMs.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
