Notes :
The Fig tree is a rustic species that grows even on arid soils and rocks, tolerating a wide range of temperatures. Fruits are very high in sugar (20% when fresh, 50% dried). One fruit is born from several merged flowers. Many myths are centered on the Fig tree, considered the tree of knowledge and a symbol of fertility as well.
