Necronomicon Ex-Mortis

Necronomicon Ex-Mortis 3D print model

Description

Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (Also known as The Book of the Dead and Naturom Demonto) is the antagonistic object in the Evil Dead franchise. In 1300 AD, the time-displaced Ash Williams journeyed to this graveyard and took the real book back to Castle Kandar, where it was locked away in a tower for many years. Shortly after Ash brought the book to the castle, Evil Ash and his Army of Darkness attacked the castle, wanting to take The Necronomicon and use it to conquer the world, but the combined armies of Lord Arthur and Henry The Red defeated them.

when slicing this file in Cura some of the parts of the mouth and eyes are missing their textures, it looks like the model has a part behind the eyes and mouth for some reason. Any fixes for this?

Not sure what the problem is. There should be a splitted version of the book in the files (a zip archive). I suggest to use this version. It has been printed many times no problem.

Thanks for the response. I think I figured it out, so on the stl file that is one piece it has thin outer walls with thicker walls behind it on the eyes, nose, and mouth. I am making one that is 10 and a half inches long so it might've been messing with how the walls print. I changed the horizontal expansion setting to .2 so it will now print thin walls where the gaps were appearing. Other than this small issue, I love this file. Its the best version of the Necronomicon available so a big thank you for making it.

you're the best thanks. i might try casting it in a higher shore hardness urethane to give it a more realistic feel. Dragon skin silicone would be similar to human flesh but the necronomicon was meant to feel like aged leather i think.

Thanks) I think it makes sense. Cause real human skin had to be embalmed in order to withstand time and hursh storing condition:) I'd love to see the final resul though)

Can the book cover be separated as a separate file? Planning on printing it flat, molding and then casting in silicone so it feels like skin.

Hi, I think so, yes. I'll try to just boolean the cover from the rest and make it to two meshes.

Absolutely insane level of detail on this model! Well worth the price for the amount of work this artist has put into it. Has to be printed in resin to even remotely do it justice.
