The Implement Entrenching Pattern 1937 Helve MkI, Sirhind model, was developed in India in 1908 and was in service with the British Army until 1923, and thereafter appears to have been produced for the Royal Navy, but was reintroduced in 1941 for the army's arsenal. However, he was not very popular among the soldiers.
